Selvedge Brewing was founded in 2020 as part of the restoration of Charlottesville's historic Woolen Mills, and the name says it all, selvedge is the finished edge of fabric, the part that holds everything together. After years at The Wool Factory, Selvedge expanded in 2024 into a new 10,000-square-foot taproom at 2415 Ivy Road in the Bellair neighborhood.

Head Brewer Josh Skinner leads a 10-barrel brewhouse where clean lagers and distinctive ales are made with equal care. The taproom pours a rotating lineup of award-winning beers brewed on-site, paired with a locally inspired food menu and plenty of space to gather.
