Selvedge Brewing was founded in 2020 as part of the restoration of Charlottesville's historic Woolen Mills. Their name says it all: selvedge is the finished edge of fabric, the part that holds everything together. After years at The Wool Factory, Selvedge expanded in 2024 into a new 10,000-square-foot taproom at 2415 Ivy Road in the Bellair neighborhood.

Head Brewer Josh Skinner leads a 10-barrel brewhouse where clean lagers and distinctive ales are made with equal care. The taproom pours a rotating lineup of award-winning beers brewed on-site, paired with a locally inspired food menu and plenty of space to gather.
