Decipher Brewing

Decipher Brewing has been cracking codes and crafting beer in Charlottesville's Woolen Mills neighborhood since 2019. The 100% veteran-owned brewery blends a cryptography-inspired identity with a genuine love of the craft.

The beer lineup runs deep, from the flagship 80 Shilling Scottish Ale to the Broken Logic West Coast IPA and Scytale Nitro Stout, with classic German, British, and American styles alongside experimental releases that keep things interesting. Decipher took home Best in Show at the 2022 Virginia Craft Beer Cup for their Barley Late Kolsch, and the taproom keeps the energy going with trivia, darts, and pizza. Dogs welcome. As they say here: the best beers are the ones you enjoy with friends.
